Sean O’Malley outlines why he thinks Henry Cejudo is criticising fighters despite being retired. Since his retirement at UFC 249, Cejudo is in discussions with a range of adversaries. He has singled out competitors from the flyweight to the lightweight division. He announces his wish to return with vehemence, which indicates that he is eager to do so. Henry Cejudo recently said he would only fight again if a championship title was on the line.

On The Triple C and Schmo Show, he made the following declaration, “ “That’s the only way I am going to fight. I’m not going to fight any other way, you know.”. Here is the said video:

Recently, Cejudo returned to the USADA drug testing pool. He has his sights set on the bantamweight class, where he once held the title. Aljamain Sterling is the current bantamweight champion. He triumphed in his most recent title contest, a rematch with former champion Peter Yan, at UFC 273 in Jacksonville, Florida.

A split decision was made to combine Yan’s undisputed bantamweight belt and temporary interim title following five rounds of battle. With his victory, Aljamain made the game impossible to win. In their meetings with the previous champion, the current champion is 2-0.

Sean O’Malley is now successfully ascending to the top of the UFC bantamweight class. O’Malley revealed that he will face former champion Petr at UFC 280, which takes place on October 22 at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, during an episode of DC & RC.

Given that Malley only recently entered the top-10 after defeating Pedro Munhoz, who is ranked nine, this bout will represent a significant step up in opposition for him. Here is where it was all discolsed:

Additionally, Following O’Malley’s NC match against Pedro Munhoz, Cejudo and O’Malley had a run-in backstage at UFC 276. O’Malley’s interview with Cejudo for BT Sport was interrupted by Cejudo, who said he would welcome a tune-up and offered to fight. When asked about a potential bout with him, Sean stated, “He says he wants to fight Alexander [Volkanovski], he wants to fight Aljo , he wants to fight me… I’m sure it’s frustrating being a two-time world champion and gold medalist and still not having fans… His insecurities… He’s 5’4, considered one of the greatest combat sports athletes of all time, and still doesn’t have a following”.
