Suga Sean predicts the winner of Adesanya vs Pereira

Sean O’Malley has used his YouTube channel to amass incredible popularity. On his channel, he often makes predictions for upcoming UFC fights. UFC 281 is no different as Suga Sean made his official prediction for the main event between Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira.

Suga Sean spoke to Luke Thomas and Tim “Timbo” Welch about the much anticipated main event. The three of them initially broke down the abilities, strengths and weaknesses of both fighters. They said Alex Pereira had been fast tracked to a title shot, but he had also shown his merit with victories over the likes of Bruno Silva and Sean Strickland.

Towards the end of the video, Suga Sean talked about who would win the fight and how likely either fighter is to win said fight. The bantamweight said, “I’d love to see Izzy win. But again, with those little gloves and these guys are both that high-level strikers, it’s a coin flip…I think Izzy has more tricks, specially in an octagon.

O’Malley is leaning towards the champion retaining his title. While it is true that Adesanya is the wilier fighter who has several tricks, that doesn’t make Pereira any less of a threat. With his incredible knockout power, he is a frightening challenge for anyone in the 185-pound division. However, only time will tell if O’Malley’s prediction comes true, or if Pereira proves him wrong.

Dana White had announced that the winner would receive an opportunity to fight for the Bantamweight title. And, after winning the fight, O’Malley became the new challenger for Aljamain Sterling’s bantamweight title.

Suga said he wasn’t surprised at being given the title shot. Speaking about it on his YouTube channel, Sean told his brother, “It was obvious to me. The biggest draw in the bantamweight division is fighting the number one guy. If he wins, he gets a title shot. That’s common sense to me. I was more surprised that people were surprised.”
