Sean O’Malley has become a household name in the USA, and his star power was evident at UFC 292. Even though the fight was close to Aljamain Sterling‘s hometown, fight fans flocked in to support O’Malley. He took his fame to new heights with a cunning knockout of Sterling to become the new undisputed UFC bantamweight champion. Sean O’Malley recently talked about his older brother.

O’Malley did not become a success overnight. His family and friends’ support was integral to his success. However, there was one member of his family who had nothing to do with O’Malley’s success. It was his older brother, Mykel, who had a serious drug addiction. O’Malley spoke of Michael on his recent appearance on the Valuetainment podcast. This is what he said.

He (Mykel) was so far on Drugs, Meth, bad...For years, I didn't talk to him... Now, he lives in Arizona, sober...live with my mom with his son... We helped him to fight that addiction...It's impressive and inspiring to watch...It's even more impressive he done it.

Sean O’Malley also revealed that older brother Mykel even accused O’Malley as a member of the Illuminati group when he was an add*ct. Nonetheless, now he has turned over a new leaf, particularly after the support he got from his parents and siblings. At one point in time, O’Malley even thought that his older brother would take his own life or end up in jail. The recent change in his brother had made O’Malley very proud.

O’Malley was born in Helena, Montana but is now a resident of Glendale, Arizona. Except for his father, O’Malley had moved every family member to Glendale. His older brother was the latest to shift. O’Malley tried to move his father close to him but he did not move due to personal reasons and professional reasons. O’Malley’s father is a Detective.

Sean O’Malley is the second of four children. Mykel, his older brother by four years, did not have a close relationship with O’Malley in the past. However, it has changed. O’Malley is very close with his younger brother, Daniel, and also his younger sister, Mashayla. O’Malley highly regarded them in his interview on the Valuetainment podcast.

O’Malley held Daniel, his younger brother by four years, in high regard. He remarked that Daniel was everything he wanted to be as he was good in his studies. Moreover, he is the only O’Malley sibling who went to college. Daniel also has a podcast with O’Malley, The BrOMalley Show.

Mashayla is nine years younger than O’Malley and is a real estate agent. However, O’Malley did not think she was good at it as he was her only investor. However, he loves her sister for her loving character and deep love for animals.
