Sean O’Malley and Bryce Mitchell trade barbs on Twitter. “Suga” makes fun of Mitchell’s money problems after the Arkansas fighter fought with flu to cope with financial troubles.

Recently in an interview with ESPN’s Brett Okamoto, Bryce Mitchell revealed his reason behind the devastating defeat at the hands of Ilia Topuria. According to the fighter from Arkansas, he was forced to take the fight to cover his expenses. This confession sparked several controversies about UFC, their pay structure, and fight contracts.

Sean O’Malley who is currently one of the top stars in the UFC decided to joke about Mitchell’s financial troubles. “Damn B hit me up I could spot you $20 next time,” said the bantamweight. Bryce Mitchell, who is not a fan of trash talk, recently responded to Sean O’Malley’s comments.

“ur makin it real personal. talkin bout my family n money. will u take the fite tho? no one like a dude whos all talk” wrote back Mitchell. O’Malley, playfully took a shot at Mitchell being a part-time farmer, and wrote, “Hey brother nothing personal. Got any cattle for sale?” Sean O’Malley has never held back on trolling and is always down for banter.

UFC 282 was a devastating outing for “Thug Nasty”. Mitchell headed into his fight against Ilia Topuria, undefeated. The featherweight prospect put down an absolute beating on Mitchell and submitted him. Mitchell, who was devastated by this loss thought about retirement on the very same day.

On UFC Journey, a series from ESPN+, Mitchell is caught on camera saying to he wanted to retire after UFC 282. “That’s why I’m just saying I should f***ing retire after that,” Mitchell said talking to his coaches. A regretful Bryce broke down after his loss and expressed his pain to his teammates.

Losses can sometimes take a huge toll on fighters. “I’m in just so much pain that I just don’t think it’s worth it to keep going. I want to stop with MMA,” Mitchell was recorded saying. The featherweight division is stacked at the moment. Mitchell, who does not go through a brutal weight cut to make 145 has thought about going down to the bantamweight division.
