“Might start doing drugs,” Sean Strickland describes the poor state of mind since the devastating loss at UFC 276

Sean Strickland

Sean Strickland is one tough fighter who is all about a strong sense of humour and insane brawl-style fighting, but can be held back during bad times. Strickland was last seen at International Fight Week fighting at UFC 276 against Alex Pereira. Unfortunately for Strickland, his lack of defence cost him a brutal knockout loss in the opening round. Strickland was on a six-fight winning streak before this loss.

Strickland, a trainee of the Xtreme Couture, Las Vegas, has wins over the likes of Jack Hermansson, Nordine Taleb, Krzysztof Jotko, Uriah Hall and many more. Strickland was formerly a #4 ranked middleweight but now is down to #7 in the official UFC rankings. Who will Strickland fight next is not known but sure the fans want him back as soon as possible since it’s had been so long since an entertaining press conference was delivered until Strickland rocked the mic at UFC 276 pre-fight press conference.

In an interview with Dave Schmulenson aka THE SCHMO, Strickland talks about his future as a fighter, him buying a new car, the rising gas prices and much more. Strickland then talked about overcoming the blues of his loss to Pereira and even though he might’ve meant it hilariously with the language so as to pull some humour for ease, there was a sad tone while talking about it.

“You know Schmo I am going through some hard f**king times man,” says Strickland “If you see the beard, the hair you know, I might start doing drugs, I might start drinking a little bit, live under a f**king bridge, that’s kind of how I feel right now…” he concludes.
