Strickland advices Costa and Chimaev about how to handle disputes
Sean Strickland has some advice for Paulo Costa and Khamzat Chimaev the next time they get caught up in a brawl in front of the cameras. Strickland had a chat with Helen Yee of Helen Yee Sports where among many things he took shots at the two middleweights while also providing us updates on his health.
Chimaev and Costa were caught up in a heated altercation at the UFC PI during the fight week that led up to UFC 279. While Costa was alone, training with Jake Shields whom he met that morning, Chimaev came along with an entire entourage of people to confront the Brazilian.
The heated exchange started because of a social media post by Costa calling Chimaev a fake gangster. Although none made an attempt to break out into a brawl, Costa walked out of this interaction as the bigger man since he was alone in confronting the Chechen.

Sean Strickland thinks Khamzat Chimaev and Paulo Costa acted like “women” during the PI altercation
However, professional instigator and self-admitted psychopath, Sean Strickland feels that all of these guys are just playing for the cameras. “The thing about fighters is that they’re a bunch of f**** women” said Strickland when asked about the Performance Institute altercation.
Strickland is currently recovering from an infection that led to his fight against Jared cannonier being cancelled. Strickland got cut by a teammate’s tooth on his finger during one of their sparring sessions. He tried treating it by himself but that caused an unnecessary delay in the wound receiving actual treatment. The doctors revealed he would need a minor surgery and hence he was pulled out of October main event fight night card.

“They run their f****** mouth, they ask their buddies to hold their bag and no one wants to fight” said Strickland, he continued, “This is the issue with the modern world, everytime there’s a conflict, somebody pulls out a cell phone and they’re like, let me show the world, stop being a bunch of f****** women”
Strickland then advised the two to, be men and face each other if the feeling of hate is mutual, “Just shut the f** up, be a man and let’s walk outside and fight, but you f** guys are ” Hold me back, hold me back” like come on you guys, just get your dicks a little bigger and handle it like men”
Strickland is now rumored to be fighting at a Fight Night event against Jared by the end of the year.
