Sean Strickland recently has been training at the American Top Team in Miami for his upcoming fight against Alex Pereira at UFC 276. The UFC middleweight was known to be a notorious Twitter user and actually received a suspension from the social media platform for his crazy tweets. Back in his Twitter days, Sean commented on PFL champion and Olympic winner, Kayla Harrison’s career in mixed martial arts.

In a past tweet, Sean blasted Kayla by writing, “Watching Kayla Harrison struggle with this low level girl just reminds why she’s not in the UFC. Stay in the PFL take your easy Ws in the scrub league.” However, his perception of Kayla changed when Sean met Kayla in real life while training at the American Top Team which is the home gym of Harrison. He later went on his Instagram account and issued an apology.

“So I finally met [Kayla] in person and I thought ‘this is all an act, no way one girl could be this obnoxious, aggressive and arrogant!’ 100 percent who she is lmao!!” wrote Sean in his Instagram apology as he posted a picture of himself with the PFL champion. “That being said Kayla sorry I was an asshole to you on Twitter and id almost call us friends. Enjoy your millions, you’ve made more than me in 3 years than I’ve made my entire career!! BYE”

Sean is currently training to take on Alex Pereira in a potential middleweight title contender fight. Strickland fights on the main card of UFC 276 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Strickland is undefeated since his move to the middleweight division from the welterweight division. The fighter is on a six-fight winning streak.

Kayla, on the other hand, was part of strong rumors that she would be fighting in the UFC but the Olympian decided to stay in PFL. Kayla Harrison is currently a dream match for MMA fans and promoters as she could be part of two super fights, against Amanda Nunes in UFC, and also against Cris Cyborg of Bellator MMA.
