“Live under a f**king bridge”- Sean Strickland makes a hilarious remark about his financial situation after losing to Alex Pereira

Sean Strickland

Sean Strickland has been taking the loss to Alex Pereira better than most guys who would have lost their lives work in one night. Sean may not have many dreams of living in an affluent manner.

However, what he does like is spending considerable sums of money on badass recreation like ATVs or dirtbikes. Strickland had similar plans that were derailed once Alex Pereira’s left hook connected right on his chin at UFC 276. Strickland who was the #4 ranked middleweight in the world, took up a high-risk, high-reward fight against a newcomer like Alex.

If he were to win, no more contender fights and Strickland could challenge for the title without making his way through Vettori, Costa, or Whittaker. However, a loss would mean a sudden stop to his hype train and possibly falling a long way down from contention again.

Strickland had some big plans for the future, he expected to take the win against Pereira, and then beat Israel Adesanya to become the middleweight champion. Being a champion attracts a lot of money, and in a recent Instagram video posted by Strickland, he revealed he is buying a cheap Hyundai Accent instead of a Hellcat.

He then talked to The Schmo where he further joked about his financial situation, he said, “You know Schmo, I’m going through some hard f**king times, man. You see the beard, the hair, you know? I might start doing drugs, I might start drinking a little bit, live under a f**king bridge. That’s kinda how I feel right now.”

Strickland still has many more years and therefore many more fights to give to his fans and despite another loss to his record, Strickland is still 25-4 in his overall career which is an impressive MMA record, with 14 of those fights won via finishes.
