Sean Strickland has always been notorious for speaking without a filter. The controversial middleweight fighter has yet again taken a shot at UFC legend Jon Jones. Jones might claim he is a changed man but the “Tarzan” is not buying it.

Last weekend, Jon Jones made a spectacular return to the octagon after three years. The former light heavyweight champion successfully made his much-anticipated heavyweight debut. During his hiatus from fighting, Jones got into trouble for being accused of domestic violence towards his fiancee.

Jones, however, on his first meeting with the media since his controversial night in Las Vegas, said he is a changed man. “I just think I’m more relatable to people than I’ve ever been. Despite how many times I mess up, I do try to stand for good,” said Jones.

Strickland replied to this quote from Jones and wrote, “He is relatable…..I think a lot of kids have seen their mom get beat up by their dad.” The middleweight fighter did not think twice to bring up Jones’ controversial past during the heavyweight’s shining moment.

Jon ‘Bones’ Jones this past weekend made it look ridiculously easy against the talented Ciryl Gane at UFC 285. The former champ showed no signs of ring rust at all and finished his opponent in under 2 minutes to become the new heavyweight champ. Strickland, who trains with Francis Ngannou, couldn’t help but imagine a matchup between the two.

Jones initially aimed to fight against Ngannou before the latter decided to split ways with the UFC. Ngannou’s last win came against Gane at UFC 270. Strickland, after Jones’ win, wrote, “I never really valued Francis Ngannou until tonight lmao!!”

Fans pointed out that Jones finished Gane in under one round while Ngannou took 5 rounds to grind a decision against the Frenchman. “I’m not saying Francis wins.. I’m saying ciryl gane didn’t even try..” wrote Strickland in response to the fans.
