Sean Strickland remains the most talked about UFC fighter in the last week. He faced Abus Magomedov at the UFC Apex and defeated him with ease. The American fighter made controversial remarks about women before his fight and expressed his love for the country after the fight. Ahead of American Independence Day, Sean went after the American politicians who he felt did more harm than progress for the country.
Sean Strickland said, “Bro, I am the biggest f**king American. This is the problem when you critique America, when you say put America first, I don’t want to spend money on other countries, I don’t want to bomb other countries. People somehow put you in the unamerican category.” He emphasized the Ukraine-Russia conflict and stated there was no need to send that much money to Ukraine.
He continued, “I’m pro-Ukraine and I want Ukraine to win but America first.” He wanted the politicians to use the money given to Ukraine to be put into cancer research so that everything could advance. Regardless of his controversial takes, Strickland may have said something sensible. He remains supportive of Ukraine but does not want the government to send aid to the Eastern-European country.
Strickland remains one of the most controversial fighters in the UFC. He mixes politics and cultural issues as a topic in his interviews. Strickland could find himself in the title picture in the middleweight division. The American fighter may be a win or two from competing for the title. A potential fight with Israel Adesanya could excite fans as the duo has a prior beef.
German fans upset with Sean Strickland over comments about Germany

Ahead of his fight with Abus Magomedov, Sean Strickland, like always, made insensitive comments about the country of his opponents. Magomedov hails from Germany, and the German fans were upset with Strickland’s comments.
Strickland took to Twitter to address the issue and again mocked the Germans. Strickland wrote, “My instagram is flooded with angry Germans. If we learned anything about history 1. Never trust a German. 2. Germans always lose.”
Strickland can get under anyone’s skin at will. He got under the skin of champion Adesanya during the press conference before his fight against Alex Pereira. He beefed with welterweight fighter Belal Muhammad and continues irritating other UFC fighters.
