UFC champion Sean Strickland‘s training sessions caught attention for their intense and unorthodox nature. However, Strickland shared some interesting tales from some of these sessions. One such tale detailed the story of his training partners during a session.

Sean Strickland recently had a conversation with Theo Von on his podcast ‘This Past Weekend w/ Theo Von’. On there, Strickland revealed a hilarious story of one of his training sessions. This is what he said:

 There's this guy named Carl, big UFC guy. Big black guy, big African man right? So he's wearing a singlet, you know a singlet, no cupping, no cupping. And he has this big old f****** big old black d***... This man's wearing a singlet and his d*** is like, I mean it was like here. And he's like hey Sean let me show you something.

Sean Strickland as an MMA fighter boasts a professional record of 28 wins and 5 losses in the Middleweight division of the UFC. His record includes 11 wins by knockout, 4 wins by submission, and 13 wins by decision. Sean Strickland became the UFC middleweight champion when he defeated Israel Adesanya at UFC 293 and shocked the MMA community.

Strickland definitely was not the betting favorite in that matchup. However, his upcoming bout against Dricus Du Plessis is much more interesting. The build-up for this fight has been like nothing else, and this will be Strickland’s first title defense.

Strickland and Du Plessis will fight for the middleweight title at UFC 297 this January. Sean Strickland said Dricus Du Plessis crossed a line with his comments. According to Strickland, some things, such as a man’s wife, kids, and a child being abused, are off-limits.

Strickland said Du Plessis’ comments about his childhood trauma involving his father were quite insensitive. Sean revealed that he recounted some of the old traumas he suffered as a child. He also revealed that he used to sleep in his mother’s room because he thought his father would kill her.

This happened in their pre-fight press conference when Du Plessis verbally attacked Sean Strickland. The tension between Sean Strickland and Dricus Du Plessis erupted in the stands at UFC 296 in December 2023. Strickland suddenly pounced on Du Plessis and began unloading fists and punches. The duo had to be separated by Strickland and was escorted out of the arena. The brawl video went viral on social media, creating much anticipation for their bout.
