Amanda Nunes is undoubtedly the most decorated female UFC fighter in the UFC. The Brazilian is a force of nature and has been dominant for several years now. After becoming the double champion by holding the bantamweight as well as the featherweight champion, Nunes was the pinnacle of the sport.
However, the fight world was shocked when Nunes got defeated by Julianna Pena at UFC 269. It was the sixth time Nunes was defending her bantamweight title and she lost the fight via submission. During the fight, Nunes wasn’t not her usual self and wasn’t that focused which costed her the title.
When she got the rematch against Pena at UFC 277, Nunes claimed that she was going to show why she is the lioness of the division. In the fight, Nunes did exactly what she said and absolutely dominated the fight from start to end. She toyed with Pena and dropped her multiple times but didn’t go for a finish almost as if she was trying to make a statement. After five rounds of slaughter, Nunes won the fight clearly via unanimous decision. It was a legendary fight and fans credited Pena for her never give up attitude however, it wasn’t enough.

It was after she beat Cris Cyborg and won the featherweight championship belt and became a double champion. This was an historic moment. Nunes must have done this photoshoot in order to show her bold character. The pictures must have meant to show that the fighter is fearless and doesn’t concern herself with others’ opinions. The post was appreciated by many fans and followers who hailed her for the confidence she has in her.
Nunes is an absolute beast and in the recent title fight against Pena, she proved that she has the ability to fight back when her back is against the wall.
