At just 25 years old, Yadong showcased a formidable combination of technical expertise, lightning-fast strikes, and raw power throughout the fight. On the other side of the octagon, Ricky Simon attempted to bring Yadong down, but his efforts often fell short. In these moments, Yadong saw an opportunity and relentlessly unleashed a barrage of strikes as Simon found himself on the canvas. Even as Simon tried to regain his footing, Yadong continued to rain down punches. It was a relentless assault that left Simon with no escape, ultimately leading to the referee stepping in to save him.

With this victory, Yadong bounced back from a previous loss to Cory Sandhagen. It is crucial to mention that this loss was one of just two defeats that Yadong has experienced during his time in the UFC. Yadong has a professional record of 20 wins, seven losses, and one no-contest.
