Khamzat Chimaev tweets out at Israel Adesanya
The middleweight division looks like the next move for Khamzat Chimaev. “Borz” has paid close attention to the middleweight matchups at UFC 276 and has laid his eyes on the champion Israel Adesanya.
UFC 276 was a blockbuster event. The fight night was headlined by the amazing title matchup between Israel Adesanya and Jared Cannonier. Khamzat Chimaev, who has declared himself as a threat to both, the welterweight, and the middleweight division is attracted by the idea of fighting middleweight king Israel Adesanya.
Adesanya managed to defend his title for the sixth time in his career as a UFC champion. Following the incredible feat, he called out his nemesis, Alex Pereira for his next fight. However, if Adesanya does change his mind, he has Chimaev waiting at his doors waiting to “SMESH”. After UFC 276 went down, Khamzat put out a tweet with an edited photo teasing a matchup between him and the middleweight champion.

Alex Pereira, the former kickboxing champion has not only caught the eyes of fans around the world but also the rising superstar, Khamzat Chimaev. The fighter from GLORY Kickboxing was introduced into the UFC as the nemesis of Adesanya and has been given the opportunity to fight for the title in a very short time.
Chimaev too has been in a similar position where he saw a rise to the top like very few in the promotion. Pereira now joins the class of Khamzat who has risen to the top after only a few fights in the UFC. Pereira, however unlike Chimaev has a lot of experience being the champion. Chimaev, after his stunning fight against Gilbert Burns, is now looking to take on the deadly Pereira.
After Pereira won the fight, Chimaev tweeted out at Dana White asking to book him against “Poatan”. How amazing of a fight do you think Khamzat vs Alex Pereira would be?
