Tom Aspinall comments on Georges St-Pierre’s legacy! Aspinall is undoubtedly one of the biggest heavyweight prospects in the UFC and the boss Dana White couldn’t agree more. The British fighter has shown the world why he is a special fighter in his fight against Alexander Volkov at UFC London.
UFC London was an absolute blockbuster Fight Night event. It was the first time the promotion went to the UK since the breakout of the pandemic and everyone on the card delivered a great show. One fighter that completely shocked everyone was the headliner Tom Aspinall. Dana White, who believes UFC Fight Night 204 was one of the greatest Fight Night events of all time believes Aspinall has proved his worth to be in the conversation among the best of the division.
Aspinall stunned the entire O2 Arena as he walked through veteran Alexander Volkov with ease in the main event. Aspinall secured the first-round submission winning streak to five fights in the UFC. Many claimed Aspinall is a future champ, and he received appreciation from everyone in the MMA community.

Aspinall is a big fan of many legends of the sport, and getting a text from one of them completely blew his mind. Talking to Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, he revealed the best text he received after his fight. He said, “Let me just tell you, this morning, the greatest UFC fighter of all-time, GSP, commented on my picture. Oh my goodness. … Honestly, I had goosebumps. I couldn’t believe it. GSP, man! Oh my goodness.”
He also believes GSP is the true G.O.A.T and there’s no way around it, he said, “Of course, he’s No. 1, who else is it gonna be? This is what I think: To be the greatest of all time, this is gonna sound like madness, but GSP first of all did it in two weight divisions. Also, GSP had some bad losses and came back. To me, that is a sign of a real champion.”
“Of course you can be like Khabib, and you can be all the rest of it, and that’s brilliant, but what does he do under the adversity? We still don’t know because he’s that much better than everybody else. But in my opinion, two weights, that’s the difference. The two weights,” he concluded.
