Tom Aspinall wants to face the winner of Curtis Blaydes vs. Jailton Almeida after Jon Jones matchup didn't come through

Tom Aspinall won the heavyweight interim title at UFC 295. Since then, he has voiced out for his shot at the undisputed title. However, champion Jon Jones didn’t seem to bend to his callouts and persisted with the Stipe Miocic matchup. As such, after months of calling for the undisputed title, Aspinall moves on to his next chapter. As such, he eyed the winner of Curtis Blaydes vs. Jailton Almeida in the rumored UK fight card.

In a recent interview with TNT Sports, Tom Aspinall shared his future aspirations. Since he won’t receive a title shot, he wanted to remain active and defend his interim title. Here is what he said:

I'm hearing some strong rumors from some reliable sources that that's (UFC Manchester) going to happen. Like I say, if Blaydes takes care of business, which he should, me and him in Manchester would be the best thing. I guess if Almeida wins, it makes sense as well.

Further in the interview, Tom Aspinall spoke about his only loss in the UFC against Curtis Blaydes and how he wanted to get it back. The loss came as a result of an injury Aspinall suffered during the fight. So, he preferred Blayes to come through Jailton Almeida. However, he was also open to fighting Almeida since he was an undefeated contender.

Nonetheless, Tom Aspinall moved on from his push to fight for the undisputed belt and claimed to fight again soon. As such, he wanted to face the winner of Curtis Blaydes vs. Jailton Almeida. This fight goes down at UFC 299.
