Tony Ferguson accepts Nate Diaz fight offer

A lot of rumors have sparked following the recent interaction between Nate Diaz and Tony Ferguson.

Nate Diaz is growing restless with the UFC as the day goes by and the Stockton Slugger can’t wait any longer for a fight offer. The UFC superstar is looking to get his hands dirty inside the octagon for a long time now and he has a response from a fellow star in the lightweight division. Tony Ferguson as usual gives cryptic response to Nathan’s call out and hints that he wants in on the fight.

Nate in his recent tweet wrote, “UFC Wass good wit a fight in July is the whole roster scared or what?” Tony wouldn’t mind getting into the octagon with Diaz in July despite his recent defeat to Michael Chandler. “El Cucuy” is coming off a devastating KO loss to Chandler at UFC 274. The loss was truly a terrible sight to watch as Chandler put Ferguson to sleep with a high front kick to the face.

Ferguson is also on a losing streak of four fights. Ferguson vs Diaz strikes the chord stylistically as both the fighters step into the octagon with the full intention of entertaining the fans. There can never be a boring moment with the two inside the cage. However, it is very unlikely that the Stockton fighter matches up with El Cucuy from the lightweight division.

Who could be Nate Diaz’s potential opponent?

Conor McGregor Nate Diaz

The biggest matchup for the Diaz brother right now is a trilogy fight against his biggest rival, Conor McGregor. Nate and Conor have fought twice in the past and both the times have broken all records possible and sold the biggest numbers in pay-per-view. One of the main reasons why Nate could probably be sidelined by the promotion is to make this fight happen.

Nate is on the last fight of his current contract and Conor is currently sidelined owing to an injury. However, the Irishman’s comeback is very near given the rate of his recovery. Despite Nate’s tantrums thrown towards the promotion, it won’t be a surprise if the next time we see him in the octagon is against McGregor for the trilogy bout. Nate has tried to throw multiple opponents on the table from, Dustin Poirier, Vicente Luque, and others but the UFC don’t seem to budge.
