Muhammad Mokaev has been one of the hottest rising fighters in the UFC currently. The 22-year-old rise to the pinnacle of combat sports has been one of the most inspiring stories. The English fighter comes from a humble background and has immense respect for his roots and beliefs.

Recently Mokaev made a tweet that shows how much he values his principles and beliefs. He wrote, “Got offered $200,000 for sponsorship from betting company But I said once and will say again I will never advertise gambling, alcohol or drugs. Allah gave me more than I asked, alhamdulillah I have more than I asked God 10 years ago!”

Alcohol consumption and gambling are prohibited in the Islamic faith. As a Muslim, Muhammad Mokaev has upheld his traditions and refuted practices that go against his faith. For his admirers, Mokaev is a true inspiration.

Mokaev came to England as a refugee with his father when he was only 12 years old. Soon he joined the Manchester fighting club to hone his skills in Brazilian jiu Jitsu and wrestling. He established a name for himself by taking home a number of freestyle wrestling titles before being eventually signed by the UFC in 2022.

Muhammad Mokaev has vowed to become the youngest champion in UFC

The Punisher has shown signs of brilliance from a very young age. He became two times  Amateur Junior Bantamweight champion for International Mixed Martial Arts Federation two years in a row in 2018 and 2019. Muhammad Mokaev made his professional MMA debut in Brave Combat Federation in August 2020. He went on an impressive seven-match unbeaten run and finally signed a contract with UFC in November of 2021.

He has managed to become a ranked fighter within a year of the promotion with three victories to his name in three fights. Currently, he is ranked 12th in the Flyweight division. 

Mokaev recently stated his intention to become the promotion’s youngest champion in a tweet where he uploaded a picture with the caption “InshaAllah youngest champion in the @ufc history!” 

Muhammad Mokaev does possess the talent, zeal, and persistence to become one of the greats in the world of combat sports. If Muhammad Mokaev can realize his full potential and become the youngest champion in the promotion’s history, only time will tell.
