Former champion Israel Adesanya and his long-time rival Alex Pereira will fight for a second time in MMA at UFC 287. Both men seemed calm and composed at the press conference. A live discussion with former Champions like Georges St-Pierre, Chris Weidman, Vitor Belfort and Lyoto Machida to talk about the result of the main event.

GSP picked Adesanya and even admitted that he was biased. On the other hand, Weidman believes that Adesanya is the better MMA fighter, but Pereira has the best-left hook; however,  Adesanya can win if he can maintain distance. Belfort thinks that the fight can go either way. However, Machida feels different. He said, “I put all my money on Pereira because I trained so many times with him and how good he is.“

The legends on the panel indirectly referred to the wrestling weakness of Alex Pereira, which remained a factor in their first MMA fight. Adesanya was able to takedown Pereira multiple times and even control him on the ground, but Pereira managed to rally back and defeat him in the last round to win the UFC Middleweight title.

This will be the fourth time Israel Adesanya prepares to fight Alex Pereira. There has never been another case when one fighter pursues another to a different sport to compete with him. Pereira remained in Kickboxing while Adesanya was conquering the UFC. However, he soon followed Adesanya into MMA, winning the UFC title just four fights into his UFC career. Fight fans will soon find out who will win the rematch at UFC 287.

“Poatan” will take on “The Last Stylebender” for the fourth time in his career. So far, he has won all the fights; however, he must win one last time to put the rivalry to bed forever. After the weigh-ins, Pereira gave his thought on how he feels on Twitter.

He wrote, “Ready for tomorrow ! I’m in the form of my life guys ! Who’s excited for the fight ?” Pereira believes he is in the best form of his career and will again get a stoppage victory over Adesanya.

Israel Adesanya looked composed for the press conference ending with an intense staredown with Pereira needing to be separated by Dana White. Both fighters will look to put on a show for the fight fans when they collide at UFC 287 in a title rematch.
