Paulo Costa is quite an entertaining guy, who posts all sorts of stuff on his Twitter that gets a good reaction from the fans. Whether it is his broken English, or just a naturally goofy personality, Costa usually delivers on social media in his time away from the octagon.
Paulo Costa was one of the most hated fighters in the UFC last year after he missed weight by over 15 pounds against Marvin Vettori, and seemed to be quite nonchalant about it. But, unprecedentedly, he has rebounded by using Twitter as his weapon and rallying the fans back to his side. In a few months, Costa fights perennial middleweight top 5, Robert Whittaker.
However, this time it seems like Costa’s antics have gone a little haywire. In a tweet responding to Mike Perry’s respectful call out on Twitter, he wrote, in a now deleted post – “That n**** really wants that smoke. Mike Platinum black Perry, Wakanda.” The tweet was deleted very fast given the offensive nature.
Yet, Costa did not quite stop at this – he posted a couple more tweets apologizing, but weirdly, he then posted an edited picture of himself that was not taken in good taste. This compounded his misery as fans rallied against the racist behavior displayed in his image.
