“Lot of people that want to make him rich”- UFC Veteran says Nate Diaz is doing the right thing by moving on from the UFC

Nate Diaz although on a losing streak still remains one of the biggest and most influential fighters on the UFC roster. He last fought in June of 2021 when he lost to Leon Edwards. Nate Diaz has expressed his desire to leave the UFC organization in the recent past when he was unable to find an opponent for a long period of time.
He recently got vocal on Twitter again about wanting to leave UFC as UFC announced they were releasing NFTs featuring him and his brother. Nate is not ecstatic with this announcement as he feels he and his brother have been done wrong by the organization. It remains to be seen what happens with Nate Diaz in the future.

Yancy Medeiros is another veteran of the sport, and he has nothing but respect for the Diaz brothers, he believes Nate has earned a spot to compete only in big money fights, and UFC should respect his decision of moving forward. Talking to Ariel Helwani from The MMA Hour, he said, “Everybody’s like, ‘What’s the biggest thing that’s going to happen, he should fight this guy, he should fight that guy.”
“Honestly, I think the best thing for Nate’s career that would happen right now is if he got released from the UFC. That would just blow him up, you know what I mean?”
Yancy added, “It always has to do with money. You see Dustin wants to fight him, and Nate wants to fight Dustin and get his fight out, so I just think you can connect the dots why the UFC doesn’t want to let him go. But I feel that the biggest thing right now that could ever happen for Nate is if he was released, because that man knows his bag, he knows his work, and there’s a lot of people that want to invest him and make him rich – more rich.”
