As of now, a lot of MMA enthusiasts already know of Sean Strickland and Dricus Du Plessis brawling ringside. While Attending UFC 296, the 28-5 middleweight titleholder lunged at Du Plessis, with somewhat of a provocation. The latter had even showered him with surprising praises though. Strickland is, however, unhinged as a striker even outside the ring; vocally even.
The fighter is infamous for his unfaltering takes and caricature on a variety of subjects. These have often earned him the moniker of being a “people’s champion” or true American champion. His latest quip on “White Jesus” has instigated quite the banter, drawing Belal Muhammad into the mix. Check out what he wrote, taking to X:
Merry Christmas!! I hope you guys are enjoying your family and NOT contemplating a violent revolution to take our country back or taking over your HOA…. Anyways have a blessed day… Thanks white Jesus.

One prominent reply quirked back “Jesus looked like Belal Muhammad“, initiating the age-old conundrum of the Middle-Eastern origins of the divinity. Another fan, amused with the erratic humor, wrote – “Sean. forever grateful for you and your entertainment. much love champ“.
Ahead of this Christmas message, the fighters have squabbled before as well. ‘Tarzan” had barbed at American-born Muhammad for showing support to Palestine after the recent terror attacks. In light of the Israel-Palestine global conflict and unrest, Muhammad had retorted back to the criticism as well.
Fans react to Sean Strickland invoking “White Jesus” in latest tweet
Sean Strickland is of a disposition to not hold back; whether in the Octagon or out. The brash and unhinged peculiarity earns him much feedback. Sometimes better, sometimes for the worse. But there’s no unsuitability or improperness when one praises a notion such as “white Jesus“. “Tarzan” has done just that.
Strickland has often seen mockery from other fighters to be a classic specimen of white supremacy or “hillbilly” machismo. The whitewashing of the epitome of Christianity is no new thing. But Strickland praising the notion overtly in his tweet resulted in a chain of blunt humorous callbacks. Check out a few reactions below.
Coincidentally, with three outstanding wins in 2023, he recently won the MMA Junkie’s 2023 Male Fighter of the Year. Rebounding from 2022 with a 3-0 turnover and a title win, he makes his maiden defense against Dricus Du Plessis soon.
