Former UFC women’s flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko was at the UFC’s 30th Anniversary Q&A. In Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, featherweight Charles Joudain, UFC veteran John Alessio, and Julianna Pena were also present with Shevchenko. It was a 45-minute question-and-answer session where all four answered fans’ and reporters’ questions.

Valentina Shevchenko lost the title at UFC 285 to Alexa Grasso via submission. It was Shevchenko’s first loss after winning the vacant title at UFC 231 by beating Joanna Jedrejczyk. After that, she defended the UFC flyweight throne seven times before losing her title to Grasso. The former champion missed the mark in the 4th round when Alexa managed to bring her to the ground.

Once the submission hold Alexa Grasso got on the face of Shevchenko, and she managed to make her tap. It was a face-crank submission, which was one of the rare submissions captured in the UFC cage. Immediately after the loss, Valentina asked for a rematch in a post-fight interview.

The former champion said, “Definitely an immediate rematch, because I know I was winning the fight. This is what happens. At least there’s some movement in the flyweight division. This created more feels. It’s more alive before I come back and get my title back.”(Source)

Known for her looks and fashion statements, Shevchenko once again stole the spotlight. Fans flirting on her social media was evident, but this time a fan managed to show more courage.

Valentina Shevchenko once again got the flirting comment from one of her fans, but this time at a live event. During the Q&A session, Shevchenko hilariously exchanged words with one of her fans. A fan stepped in to take the microphone and took his chances against her favorite fighter. He asked two questions, which made the whole assembled audience laugh.

A fan asked the first question “One, are you single?” Without wasting time he asked another question “Two, do you want my number?” John Alessio supported “Shoot your shot.” Once he was done with the question for some seconds everyone started laughing. Then Shevchenko replied, “Thank you,” then hilariously disappointed her fan with, “I am single and I am not sure about the number.”

Former champions are believed to be present at Saturday night’s main event. Shevchenko and Pena will both keep an eye on the women’s championship fight between Amanda Nunes and Irene Aldana. Pena may look for the trilogy fight if Amanda wins. One of the other Shevchenko may look for her rematch against Nunes.
