Pimblett feels Vera has what it takes to put out Cruz

Paddy Pimblett has just put out his picks for UFC: San Diego headlined by Dominick Cruz and Marlon Vera. Great news for all those waiting for more fighters to come out with their predictions before they decide where to put their money this weekend

Paddy was last seen in the Octagon at UFC London where he competed in his third UFC fight against Jordan Leavitt. The pair had a heated build-up to the fight with one threatening to twerk over the other and one coming in with the threat of a tea bag.

Ultimately it was Paddy who walked out with a submission victory, fulfilling his promise to Teabag his opponent shortly after. Since then he’s been doing what Paddy does once he’s out of the octagon, feast himself till he no longer represents a professional fighter.

Currently, Paddy is back in America, working on his contractual obligations for Barstool sports and also presumably waiting for UFC 278, where his online brother and fellow enjoyer of feasts, Paulo Costa as he tries to make weight for his fight against Rockhold.

In the meantime, Paddy was asked by the UFC team for his predictions on the upcoming fight night card in San Diego. Paddy said of the fight, “It’s a tough one to pick”

“I think if its going the distance, it’s going to be Cruz, he can outpoint him, ” said Paddy, giving the veteran a better chance in a longer fight. He continued, “But Vera can knock anyone out at 135, so Vera catches him I’m seeing him knocking him out”

Paddy ultimately summarized that he would favor Cruz in a longer more grueling fight, while the young gun always has the power to shut off the fight.

Recently Paddy has become the center of attraction in rumor mills of the MMA Sphere as Molly McCann was booked to fight at the MSG, at UFC 281, leading many to believe the Baddy will also follow suit, however, Paddy has said he’s not ready to bear the tax brunt that comes with fighting in New York
