UFC on Fox 12 featured the fight between Robbie Lawler and Matt Brown in 2014. They faced each other with title implications on the line in the main event. Lawler edged out rival Brown via decision (49–46, 49–46, 48–47). Recently, Brown revealed that a doctor almost ruined the event for everyone.
Brown and Lawler fought in a #1 contender’s bout to face then-champion Johny Hendricks. Notably, though, the matchup took place at catchweight (172.5 lbs) due to weight-cut issues. Brown revealed a ‘doctor’ advised him not to make weight. As such, it created plenty of problems behind the scenes.
Theres actually more to that… A fake doctor in the back actually told me not to make weight lol I talked to Dana after I started drinking water and he was like who tf told you that?? I didn’t get 20% deduction. He also told some girl on the card I can’t remember who...Matt Brown via X (@IamTheImmortal)
This dialogue comes in reply to a fan account (@kikaiida808). ‘The Immortal’ has previously talked about missing weight because of a fake doctor. Already late to the weigh-ins, Brown was given the advice to rehydrate, by someone who turned out to be a fake doctor. Due to the mishap, Dana White did not deduct 20% from Brown’s fight purse.
Matt Brown has had many memorable fights. His fight against Bryan Barbarena recently won the FOTN award at UFC on ESPN 33. He also holds the record for the second most knockout wins in UFC history. With the livid disposition he has, it’s a wonder he didn’t unleash his wrath on the “doctor”; he maintains a general disdain for fake medical professionals though.
Matt Brown does not put stock into Dana White’s doctor
Matt brown missed weight in a crucial tint due to a fake doctor. Ever since, he has steered clear of fake medical professionals. As such, he also isn’t very sympathetic towards Dana White’s doctor. CEO of 10X Health Systems, Gary Brecka, changed the ailing health of Dana White.
During 2010-15, the promotional top honcho incurred a severe case of vascular narrowing. It slowed his metabolism significantly, and he was given ten years to live. However, in a turn of events for the better, Brecka’s fasting regimen, PEMF therapy, Red Light therapy, and extended variable cardio output reformed the UFC CEO in a new light. White started water fasting for stretches of 70-80 hours, which went viral.
However, Matt Brown is of the disposition that Brecka is a grifter who utilizes this scenario for extended free promotion of 10X Health Systems. As Chief Human Biologist for 10X Health, Brecka oversees the Global Wellness vision. However, the self-proclaimed title of “human biologist” irks Brown to a great extent.
Furthermore, he labeled experts like Mike Dolce, Andy Galpin, Layne Norton, Alan Aragon, and Peter Attia among others as true health professionals aiming to improve life and health. However, Gary Brecka did not join the list. From the tone of Brown’s voice, he might never make it.
