UFC and WWE to merge under one parent company, Dana White and Conor McGregor comment...
Two of the biggest sports entertainment companies, the WWE and the UFC, have fanbases numbering millions all over the globe. Recently, Vince McMahon sold WWE to Endeavor Group Holdings to create a new parent business that would combine WWE and the UFC under a single umbrella.
The two giants will together form a $21.4 billion sports entertainment company. Endeavor Group Holdings takes 51% of the controlling interest while 49% will be retained by WWE shareholders.
The enterprise value of the UFC stands at $ 12.1 billion and WWE at $9.3 billion. Vince McMahon, formerly the executive chairman of WWE, will hold the same position at the new firm, which will be led by Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel. Dana White remains President of the UFC while Nick Cann will serve as president of the WWE.
The merger will be completed towards the latter half of 2023. In July 2016, Endeavour acquired the UFC after which the organization has seen a major surprise in revenue and innovation. The company seeks to do the same with the acquisition of the WWE.
