Cortes-Acosta has stepped into the octagon four times since earning a contract on Dana White’s Contender Series in August 2022. The 31-year-old embarked on his promotional journey with triumphant decision victories over Jared Vanderaa and Chase Sherman. He did encounter a setback in April, enduring his first professional career loss against Marcos Rogerio de Lima. Nonetheless, Cortes-Acosta made a robust comeback in his first appearance after his first defeat.
