Dan Hooker vs. Jalin Turner had seen the announcement for UFC 285. But Hooker incurred an arm injury, which postponed the matchup to UFC 290. Eventually, Hooker came out on top, via a split decision win. As of late though, the “Hangman” had to pull out of his pairing with Bobby Green for the UFC Austin card. Subsequently, Turner has stepped in. Turner recently commented on being messed up with mental agony, seeing the peer hospitalized.
Hooker, on the other hand, replied with profound amusement. Hooker had recently taken to social media to share a photo and an update from his most recent surgery. But now, on the subject of the unlikely rhetoric of Turner suffering after their three-round war, things have changed.
Dan Hooker switched it up with another post on X, that shows him enjoying an after-party, after his UFC 290 win. The video sees the fighter sporting some shades, enjoying with friends, in a party setting. The caption read:
I went to the after party.
The lightweight, Hooker, now stands at 23-12-0 with his victory. This also consequently marks his back-to-back win. Turner, on the other hand, is on a two-loss streak for the first time, since before 2020. Hooker has not let go of the chance to gloat in self-imposed pity. Previously, he had also bashed Turner for missing weight by 2lbs, before their T-Mobile Arena bout.
Before his victory, Hooker had rectified a two-fight skid with a second-round TKO of Claudio Puelles at UFC 281. Now he reels from another surgery to fuse his bones properly.
Dan Hooker provides an update on successful arm surgery
Lightweight Dan Hooker is no stranger to operational procedures and treatments. But this time around, it has momentarily put him out of the game. The fighter was to square off with Bobby Green. But with his arm injury taking a serious turn, plans had to change. Hooker had sustained an injury in training before his UFC 290 matchup with Jalin Turner. He won the fight but broke his arm in the process.
The fighter had to undergo a couple of surgeries to recover. Over the weekend, Hooker provided a few more details as to how the injury came to be. He broke his arm in sparring, an injury exponentially stretched by the fact that “the bone never fused properly,” according to the UFC veteran. Taking to Instagram, he provided more details on it.
Additionally, Hooker also mentioned that he had surgery, again this week to inject bone marrow. This procedural inclusion was to strengthen back his arm to full capacity.
