In the prelims card of UFC 283 Brazil, Shogun Rua was scheduled for a Light Heavyweight bout with Ihor Poteiria. The LHW matchup would have marked the decorated career of Mauricio Rua, a Brazilian UFC legend.
Shogun Rua is a former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion who has been in the promotion since 2007. After a celebrated UFC career, UFC 283 Brazil was the perfect fight card for the Brazillian to retire.
However, in his last fight, Rua was set to fight Ihor Poteiria, an up-and-coming Light Heavyweight. The fight was concluded after Poteiria scored a victory against Shogun via KO/TKO in the first round.
It was after that Poteiria displayed a disrespectful dance after his victory against Shogun that the Brazilian crowd started getting hostile. Fans have since reacted to the situation on Twitter.

Fans send hate to Ihor Poteiria for dancing after Shogun Rua TKO
UFC 283, filled with Brazilian fight line-ups is one of the biggest events the Brazilian crowd anticipated to experience. However, the rich Brazilian experience was ruined by Ihor Poteiria after his TKO victory over Brazilian UFC legend, Shogun Rua.
Poteiria was seen displaying a disrespectful dance after defeating Shogun which triggered fans watching all over the world. Fans believe, Poteiria ruined Shogun’s retirement fight.
