Anthony Joshua defeated Francis Ngannou with a second-round knockout in their heavyweight bout in Saudi Arabia.
Oh, man. F***ing cold. Aaah man. Damn. He's okay. That second one was bad... I don't know man, I feel s***. I can't hide how I feel because if that happened to AJ as well, I'd be happy for Francis but I'd feel bad if AJ got dropped like that. Coz that's f****** bad knockout.Israel Adesanya via his YouTube channel
Prior to the fight, Israel Adesanya revealed in a YouTube video that he does not plan to pick a winner in the Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou fight. He said that he would watch the fight and hope both fighters came out unhurt. He also said that the fight had explosive potential and emphasized the skill and power of both fighters. After witnessing Joshua knocking out Ngannou, he recalled the moment when he predicted that anything could happen in the blink of an eye.
Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou fought in a heavyweight boxing match at Riyadh’s Kingdom Arena in Saudi Arabia. Joshua won the fight when he knocked out Ngannou in the second round with a right hand that landed on his chin. Joshua floored Ngannou twice in the first round and again in the second. He then knocked Ngannou out cold in the second round with a devastating right hand.
Israel Adesanya’s potential UFC comeback
Israel Adesanya took time off from fighting, saying that he had fought injured for a long time and had to let his body heal. However, there have been rumors surrounding his return.
Adesanya’s head coach, Eugene Bareman recently revealed that Adesanya is ready to return to fighting in April 2024. Adesanya has been training at City Kickboxing and also said that he is ready to come back sooner than fans expect. ‘The Last Stylebender’ last fought at UFC 293, where he lost via unanimous decision against Sean Strickland.
He had agreed to a title fight at UFC 300 against Dricus Du Plessis. However, the fight fell through because Du Plessis’ team denied the fight. Dricus Du Plessis said that he would take time to recover from his recent title fight and that Adesanya has to wait for the chance to fight him since he is no longer the champion. He said he would like to fight Adesanya in June or July in his home country of South Africa.
