WATCH: Joe Rogan struggles to keep his eye off an in-shape Ronda Rousey as she prepares to weigh in
Ronda Rousey Joe Rogan
Joe Rogan has been around UFC for an extremely long time and he’s the person who interviews the athletes before and after the fight. During his time in the promotion, Rogan has experienced a lot of things and has found himself in many scenarios.
One such incident took place at the official face-off at UFC 168 in 2013 which took place between Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate. During the face-off, Rogan was captured by the cameras looking at Rousey as she undresses for her face-off. In the clip, Rogan can clearly be seen staring at Rousey who was in great shape followed by the weight cut. Rogan also made some weird expressions which also got noticed by the fans. Rogan is loved by the fans his actions didn’t question his character. On the contrary, fans actually understood Rogan’s situation and why he couldn’t control himself from looking.
Something like this is not that rare as female fighters did get a lot of eyes when they strip down during the official face-offs. A similar thing happened at UFC 196 which involved Meisha Tate. During her weigh-ins, Tate was in great shape and the officer standing behind her couldn’t help but look at Tate. Although he was trying his level best not to do so he failed. In that situation, Rogan was also there and interviewed Tate but this time things didn’t happen like in the Ronda Rousey case.
Joe Rogan admits hyping up Ronda Rousey during her time in UFC
Ronda Rousey will go down as one of the most popular female fighters in the history of UFC. Rousey came into UFC and became the first UFC female Bantamweight champion and defended her title 7 times.
Rousey in her prime was a huge superstar and brought a lot of eyes to the sport. During that time, the promotion was doing a great job marketing her. In a podcast, Joe Rogan also admitted that he himself tried his best to hype Ronda among the fans.

“I pumped her up. It was me doing a lot but it was based on what she’d have been already accomplished. It wasn’t based on bulls***. It was based on her actual performance,” said Rogan.
It was a successful move for UFC as it resulted in Rousey becoming the face of promotion for a few years. However, soon after that, she lost her title and retired from UFC. But all that marketing helped Rousey to gain massive popularity when she later joined WWE.
