WATCH: When Brian Ortega stunned the internet with an “ORGASMIC” flying triangle
Brian Ortega
Brian Ortega is famous for his Triangle holds in UFC. Of his 15 victories in the UFC, the American has succeeded in using the triangle hold on four occasions to tap his opponents. As a result, he has earned the nickname T-city (triangle city).
A video of Brian Ortega’s training session went viral a few years ago. In the video, Ortega could be seen in slow motion trying a dazzling flying triangle hold. It is visually appealing to witness Brain Ortega attempt this maneuver.
Flying triangle holds are a common sight during Brain Ortega’s open workout sessions as many clips of him attempting the move can be found on social media platforms.
Brian is currently ranked third in the UFC Featherweight division. He made his last appearance inside the Octagon at UFC on ABC back in July where he faced Yair Rodriguez. Ortega lost the match after he picked up a shoulder injury during the first round.
Brian Ortega claims that Yair Rodriguez is willing to have a rematch
With a victory over Ortega, Rodriguez received a shot at the featherweight championship. However, the current champion, Alexander Volkanovski, has already made his desire to switch to lightweight. This will make Rodriguez eligible for a rematch, however, the likelihood of that fight will also depend on how badly Ortega is hurt.
Yair Rodriguez showed interest in a rematch with Brian Ortega, according to Brian Ortega in a post-fight interview with UFC on ABC.
He said,”(Yair Rodriguez) said he’s willing to run it back. I definitely want to get it back. I’m gonna go MRI this [injury] as soon as I can. Do what I have to do. I pray to God I don’t have to get surgery… The second I’m physically able to do it, I wanna get back in”
Brian Ortega is still recovering from his injury and hopefully gets his rematch when he returns. Although his chances will depend upon the title picture taking shape when he makes his comeback to the Octagon.
