This Twitch streamer was walking on a thin wire trying to live stream an entire UFC PPV event. However, his smartness paid him off as he managed to stream the event by pretending to he was playing a video game.
If there’s one thing that the biggest promotion in MMA is very serious about, it is illegal streaming. However, many fans still manage to stream the fights illegally without paying the ESPN+ PPV price. One such streamer, by the name of “Lester_Gaming“, outsmarted Twitch’s copyright system despite streaming an entire UFC 218 pay-per-view fight card on his channel.
The twitch streamer happened to outsmart everyone by pretending to play the UFC game when in reality he was watching the live fights taking place also allowing his followers to view the card for free. To date, the clip of the streamer “playing” the Max Holloway vs Jose Aldo fight makes rounds on the internet. The streamer can be seen with a controller while making grunting sounds as though he was playing a fight between Holloway and Aldo.
The Twitch streamer’s infamous UFC 218 archived stream is no longer available on his channel. This pay-per-view was insane with the entire card stacked from top to bottom. Apart from the main event featherweight title fight, the event featured the iconic knockout of Alistair Overeem by Francis Ngannou, Henry Cejudo vs Sergio Pettis’ bantamweight fight, Justin Gaethje and Eddie Alvarez going to war, and many more.

Dana White is not a fan of illegal streaming
Dana White is the head honcho of UFC and he cares about the PPV buys. The UFC boss has come out and warned the general public about illegal streaming. White has even gone to the extreme of taking legal action against an illegal website that pirated PPV events. In an interview with GQ, White passionately ranted about how much he hates people who stream UFC pay-per-view events.
“This is how everyone makes their money. You’re b**ching about fighters not making enough money, they get a piece of the PPV. People who steal it are stealing from us and them. What happens to people who steak? You get f***ing smashed and you go to jail,” said White.
The UFC boss even went to vow that he’d go out of his way to catch the people that stream illegally. Back in 2014, UFC announced that they successfully took down an illegal stream website by the name of “cagewatcher“. White and his company seized the records of the website and tracked down the user base, email addresses, IP addresses, and usernames that ran the website. Safe to say the fight promotion vigorously tracks down illegal streamers.
