Jon Jones has, in recent times, cemented his position in the UFC Hall of Fame. He has defeated everybody in his path and has a talent and skillset like no other. He is currently the pound-for-pound no.1 across all divisions. So when it comes to knowledge and experience in teaching, Jon Jones would be your man.

In another video, as seen below, a Twitter clip shows young Jon Jones violently coaching fighters to open up opponents with vicious elbows. These fighters were part of an academy of kickboxers, and Jones decided to teach them the value of elbowing an opponent in a fight. He explains to the fighters that he elbowed so many people that he knows what the human skull feels like in the back of his mind. He states, “No one can take it when their own blood is all over them (because of elbow strikes).”

Although there might be other very crucial fighting techniques that your MMA coach might ask you to use, make sure you don’t miss out on elbows. Many UFC stars like Jon Jones and Tony Ferguson have used this technique. Ferguson and other fighters have also emphasized how elbowing in a fight has helped them turn the tide in their favor against any opponent, large or small.

The UFC star continues the conversation and encourages Davis to learn the sport of MMA to grow as a fighter and conduct “super fights” later in his career. Jones believes that Davis has a lot of time in his career, considering that he is only 28. He further states, “No one is gonna wanna mess with you, my guy.”

According to BoxRec, ESPN, the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board, and The Ring magazine, Davis is the second-best active lightweight. He is ranked third by ESPN and fifth by BoxRec. Davis, who is renowned for his powerful punch, has a 93% knockout-to-win rate.
