Khamzat Chimaev talks about Tom Aspinall being a threat to Francis Ngannou
UFC rising superstar Khamzat Chimaev believes that Francis Ngannou’s crown at the heavyweight division is at danger.
Tom Aspinall absolutely laid the foundation for his upcoming challenges against top heavyweights in the world in his outing at UFC London. Khamzat Chimaev was not going to miss the amazing fight card put on by the promotion in the UK for the first time since the outbreak of the pandemic. “Borz” has now become very active on his social media profiles and is now giving his fans some behind the scenes content to enjoy until the fighter gets back into the octagon.
Chimaev uploaded in his Youtube channel, his reaction to UFC Fight Night 204 that was held at the O2 Arena in London. Tom Aspinall headlined the card against one of the biggest veterans in the sport, Alexander Volkov. Aspinall defeated Volkov in the first round via submission and made sure his entry into the top five rankings became inevitable.
Chimaev was more than impressed by the English heavyweight’s performance and thinks he is a real threat to the heavyweight division, including the scariest man on planet earth, Francis “The Predator” Ngannou. “That was good. He is a good fighter” said Chimaev after Aspinall’s submission against Alexander Volkov.

“Ngannou has to be ready for this guy,” said Khamzat. “He is fast and he also has good wrestling and grappling as well.” Tom is considered to be the new breed of heavyweights. Gone are the days where heavyweight giants could only stand and bang. In this new age of fighting, it is essential that a heavyweight fighter that has championship dreams possess a complete fighting skill.
“He almost broke his arm. That’s the next star from England. Yeah, he is very good. He is a complete fighter. He has everything to be a champion,” said Khamzat in his Youtube video. Aspinall is undefeated as a UFC fighter and has defeated some of the best in the business already. In the two years in UFC, he has defeated the likes of Alan Baudot, Jake Collier, Andrei Arlovski, Sergey Spivak, and Volkov. Do you think Aspinall is championship material like Chimaev says?
