The highly anticipated Noche UFC (UFC 306) is just around the corner with a lot of intriguing matchups. One of them is the rescheduled fight between Brian Ortega and Diego Lopes. However, one interesting revelation regarding Ortega has left many fans showing concern.
The fans are worried because of Brian Ortega’s history of failing to make weight. T-City has had several weight failures due to which he had to pull out of his fights. Recently, a few images of Ortega from the Noche UFC pre-fight shoot came out. Interestingly, in some of the pictures, T-City’s physique didn’t look great. Considering the weight class he fights, there seemed a lot of fat in his body.
When the fight fans came across those images, they couldn’t help but show concern for Ortega. T-City’s fans didn’t want him to pull out from another big fight card. The concern comes after the initial contest between him and Diego Lopes was also called off due to Ortega’s weight complications. Following this, Lopes had to take on Dan Ige in a short-notice fight.
Although pre-fight images portrayed Ortega as a bit out of shape, the UFC embedded showed his physique otherwise. The 33-year-old American seemed much better than he looked in those pictures. However, now it remains to be seen if he can make the weight or not ahead of his fight.

Brian Ortega is one of the fan favorite fighters similar to UFC lightweight Charles Oliveira. One reason for this is because of his astounding rise in the promotion from a prospect to a contender now. Moreover, he has fought for the title twice. Once against Max Holloway and the other time against Alexander Volkanovski. Unfortunately, he couldn’t get his hands on the gold in both of those fights.
Currently, T-City is ranked third in the UFC featherweight division where his upcoming fight is a door to the UFC gold. However, ahead of that, Ortega fans aren’t sure about the certainty of his fight against Lopes.
The fight fans were seemingly mocking Ortega for his physique. Some even brought in his ex-girlfriend Tracey Cortez in the comment section. Moreover, a few fight fans asserted that T-City always looked like this. Check out some of the reactions below.
The concerned fans believe that Ortega won’t be making 145 at the ceremonial weigh-ins for which the UFC might have to call Ige again. Rest, all were light-hearted comments while digging at his physique. However, there one was intriguing comment where the user took a sly jibe at Jon Jones referring to his heavyweight physique.
