Bobby Green, who will be fighting his last fight this Saturday, shared his nightmare when he failed to pass a drug test. According to him, USADA didn’t let him compete at UFC 276 due to drug abuse. Bobby even got a 6-month ban from fighting in the cage.
Bobby Green revealed that he ordered the substance after watching a video on YouTube. Bobby didn’t know that substance abuse could harm his career, not just his health. The 36-year-old fighter posted a video on the social media platform Instagram where he explained his situation. He revealed that he purchased a supplement from an online store, which he unknowingly had DHEA.
The retiring fighter admitted his mistake and also told the audience that he had no idea that the supplement contained DHEA. DHEA mixed supplement, which is a banned substance, was so easily available at the online store that it influenced him to go for it. The veteran fighter who lost against UFC lightweight champ Islam Makhachev said he will be making a comeback, but he faced his career’s worst nightmare.
Bobby, showing sportsmanship, accepted his removal from the UFC 276 bout against Jim Miller. In the video, Bobby said, “I’m crushed. I’m like what the f***? I had no idea, guys, what I was doing, that it was wrong, that there was any benefits to what I was doing. I would never try to cheat.”

Bobby Green revealed he was chastised after suspension
Ahead of his comeback fight at UFC Fight Night: Cannonier vs. Strickland, Green revealed USADA was chasing him everywhere, and according to him, it was completely unprofessional. In one of his Instagram lives, he revealed that he had bought a new house, but USADA intentionally went to his old house.
Green shared his views with apex reporters “I’ve been anymore of those ‘ized’ [sic] I can come up with – scrutinized – talking about this, that, drugs. Drugs? I fought everybody, I think maybe two people with more than 30 days’ (notice). There’s no way I can be on drugs. Don’t play with my name. I’m not that guy.” Bobby Continued in his defense “If you think that I would do – play with my public [sic]. I’ve never lied to none of my public ever. I don’t tell lies. Only lies I tell is to the woman I lay with, you know, because she can’t deal with the truth. Besides her, I don’t tell no lies. I don’t tell no lies to my homies, and I definitely don’t lie to my public.”
Right now, Bobby Green will be competing against Jared Gordon at UFC Fight Night. Before the upcoming bout announcement, Green revealed that he would be retiring after the April 22 matchup. There are chances that the suspension influenced him, which is forcing him to retire from the sport.
