“Rebound from these setbacks”- Charles Oliveira sends out a message of hope to Dan Hooker following his loss at UFC London

Dan Hooker and Charles Oliveira

Dan Hooker received a word of encouragement from the champ! Charles Oliveira, the current UFC lightweight champion, showed support to Hooker after his loss to Arnold Allen at UFC London. This makes his second loss in a row and four losses out of his last five.

The Hangman has been a staple of the UFC over the last few years and the City Kickboxing star looked to revitalize his career with a move to featherweight after his lightweight losses to Poirier, Chandler and Makhachev. His featherweight bout did not go his way and he was beaten by Allen in the first round. This puts Hooker at an all time low and there’s no clue where his career goes now.

At the UFC London post fight press conference, Dana White reacted to Hooker’s fourth loss out of his last five, saying “He came in and performed tonight. He made weight, he came in and went to war with a guy that’s undefeated in this weight class. And he can do whatever he wants to.” Dana doesn’t seem to care about the losses and Hooker has been given the opportunity to make a successful outing next.

God bless you and your family, @danthehangman“. Oliveira last defended his belt against Dustin Porier at UFC 269 and is set to fight Justin Gaethje at UFC 274.

Despite the devastating loss that Dan suffered against Arnold Allen, Dana White was very impressed with the Hangman’s performance. In a post fight press conference, he too motivates the fighter to pick himself, while saying, “He came in and performed tonight. He made weight, he came in and went to war with a guy that’s undefeated in this weight class. And he can do whatever he wants to.”

Dan however has lost 4 out of 5 of his fights and it needs to be seen as to what is in store for him.
