“I’m clearly one of the biggest draws…I’m the cash cow” – Sean O’Malley

Sean O'Malley and Paddy Pimblett

Sean O’Malley once again addressed the recent beef with lightweight sensation Paddy Pimblett. All was well until Pimblett fired shots at O’Malley after a number of MMA fans wanted the Scouser to take on ‘Sugar Sean.’ Calling O’Malley a b*tch-a**, Pimblett also pointed out his ‘sus’ ground game.

This is what Pimblett recently had to say about Sean O’Malley: “The amount of people that have tweeted me or Insta’d me over the past month or two saying, ‘Fight Sean O’Malley,’ I’m like, ‘Lad, he’s well lighter than me…’ But he’s a bit of a bitch-ass, isn’t he? Breaks his ankle and blames his loss on that. He’s a little pothead, so hats off to him.”

In the latest episode of MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, O’Malley cleared up his “beef” with ‘The Baddy.’ He also stated that he understood why Pimblett had to mention his name, going on to say that he (O’Malley) was one of the biggest names in the UFC – the Cash Cow.

“He’s gotta use my name… He’s gotta say my name” – Sean O’Malley on Paddy Pimblett

O’Malley was quoted as saying, “I don’t know what his beef was with me. As ugly and stupid as he may look, he’s kind of smart, he’s talking about one of the biggest names in the UFC. I’m clearly one of the biggest draws. I’m the cash cow. He knows that. So, why not? He’s gotta use my name. He’s gotta say my name. It makes sense.” [h/t firstsportz.com]

Paddy Pimblett is coming off an impressive UFC debut against Luigi Vendramini at UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs Till. After surviving an early onslaught from Vendramini that included a knockdown, Pimblett finished the Brazilian in the very same round (first round) with a barrage of strikes.

Sean O’Malley, on the other hand, is on a two-fight winning streak, with his most recent win coming at UFC 264, against debutant Kris Moutinho. However, two weight classes separate O’Malley and Pimblett. But one can never write off a possible match between the two. It is worth noting that O’Malley is the taller man (180cms); Pimblett (178cms).

Will O’Malley and Pimblett ever fight in the future?
