The Dagestani phenom Sharaputdin Magomedov made his UFC debut in the prelims of UFC 294. He fought the unranked Bruno Silva and won the fight via unanimous decision. Although the fight was pretty close, Magomedov outstruck his opponent to win on the scorecards. Now, the #5 ranked Marvin Vettori accepted a potential fight with ‘Shara Bullet’.

Earlier, Sharaputdin Magomedov expressed his wish to fight Marvin Vettori on his UFC debut. But the UFC put him against Silva to test his skills on the UFC level. Now, ‘The Italian Dream’ took to X to accept the challenge in ‘Shara Bullet’ after he brought up his name again. Magomedov is undefeated and carries a lot of hype behind him. Nonetheless, this would be a steep challenge for him. As such, Vettori warned him about his wish. Here is what Vettori wrote on X:

Pirate guy asked for me again and all I can say I accept the request with open arms Be careful what you wish for because it may happen they say.

Marvin Vettori referred to Sharaputdin Magomedov as ‘Pirate guy’ because he was partially blind in the right eye. But that didn’t stop Magomedov from pursuing his UFC dreams. As such, taking on a top-ranked middleweight contender in his second fight would be a tough task. But it’s also a high-risk-high-reward situation.

Sharaputdin Magomedov has an undefeated record of 12 wins and no losses while Vettori has a record of 19 wins and 7 losses. However, Vettori has fought high-level competition in the UFC as opposed to Magomedov, who is coming from the regional circle of Russia. This fight would most likely happen because Vettori’s 2-3 in his last five fights and would fight down the ranking.

Sharaputdin Magomedov accepts to fight Marvin Vettori moments after his tweet

Sharaputdin Magomedov responded to Marvin Vettori’s tweet about him. Vettori warned Magomedov of his wish to fight him. But it didn’t seem to faze the one-eyed Dagestani sensation. He earlier expressed his wish to fight ‘The Italian Dream’ on his UFC debut but it didn’t materialize.

But now, with both fighters going back and forth and agreeing verbally to fight, the UFC might cash in on the opportunity.

But also warned him back about his skills. Further, he asked the UFC to give him this chance. As such, Sharaputdin Magomedov shared a video of a lion on Instagram and wrote the following in the captions:

I crave to share the cage with you (Marvin Vettori). We can fill the stadiums and give people bread and circuses. I have no doubts in your fighting skills and spirit, but and I didn't come out of music school. I ask the organization UFC to give me a chance to fight and I will show everything that I can.

Marvin Vettori is ranked #5 in the middleweight division and has fought the top contenders in the division. He has no reason to take on the undefeated prospect Sharaputdin Magomedov, who is just one fight into the UFC. But, being the courageous fighter he is, he was ready to welcome the Dagestani phenom. However, he’s coming off a loss to Jared Cannonier while Magomedov won his previous fight against Bruno Silva.
