“Swears at me”- UFC London headliner Tom Aspinall reveals what advice he’s received from Michael Bisping and Darren Till

Tom Aspinall
Rising heavyweight star Tom Aspinall is set to headline UFC London against UFC veteran Alexander Volkov. Aspinall has been on an unbeaten streak ever since he signed with the UFC.
Aspinall made his debut with the UFC in 2020, where he proceeded to beat everybody put in front of him. Currently 4-0 with the UFC, Aspinall moved to the UFC from Cage Warriors.
Alexander ‘Drago’ Volkov is ranked 6th in the heavyweight division and is currently 8-3 with the UFC. Volkov is a former Bellator and M-1 Global Heavyweight Champion.
Aspinall looks to follow Michael Bisping‘s steps and become the next British UFC champion. Aspinall has been a top prospect for the UFC and proved that he was ready for bigger fights after he beat Andrei Arlovski last year. The fight with Volkov is a step in the right direction and it will be his toughest challenge yet.

Fans look forward to seeing if Aspinall will reach the 7th minute of a fight, a mark he has yet to reach since he’s finished all his opponents before the 7th. Being a British fighter, Aspinall undoubtedly knows Michael Bisping and Darren Till, when asked if he’d received any advice from them about headlining a UFC event, Aspinall jokingly replied that there were a lot of swear words. On a more serious note, he revealed that the advice he’s received the most is to just treat it as any other fight instead of piling pressure on himself.
“One day he will be champion” – Michael Bisping on Top Heavyweight prospect Tom Aspinall

Michael “Count” Bisping had nothing but praises for Tom Aspinall in an interview on The MMA Hour.
He says, “The one that I think I can firmly say that will become champion one day is, without a question, Tom Aspinall. He moves like a middleweight. He’s six-foot-six. He’s gigantic. He’s so humble. He’s such a hard worker. He’s a lifelong jiu-jitsu specialist. He’s got incredible striking. And he’s so humble that he does the work; 4-0 in the UFC, four stoppages.”
“He’s got a tall order with Volkov. But I believe if he can get through Volkov, then nothing but big, big fights. Of course, we’ve got Ngannou; he’s at the top of the food chain. But Tom’s very, very technical. So, I think Tom. I think Tom’s gonna pull it off.”
Aspinall however has a tough road ahead of him if he’s to be Champion as current Heavyweight Champion, Francis Ngannou looks practically unbeatable at this point.
Hypothetical fights aside, Aspinall will have to put on an impressive show for his championship dreams to become reality.
