(Watch) ‘You’ve got Dana White privilege’ – Tony Ferguson mocks Michael Chandler at the UFC 262 pre-fight press conference

Tony Ferguson and Michael Chandler
We’re just a couple of days away from UFC 262. It is headlined by the lightweight title fight between Michael Chandler and Charles Oliveira. The co-main event will see Tony Ferguson take on Beneil Dariush in a high-voltage lightweight bout. The event is set to take place in front of a full house at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
The pre-fight press conference just concluded, and the goofy Tony Ferguson made the event a memorable one with his one-liners. While Chandler was speaking about getting a title shot in only his second fight, Tony interrupted saying he got it handed to him in a platter by UFC President Dana White, and it was not his talent or skill that earned him the shot.
‘I’m gonna be real’ – Tony Ferguson
‘El Cucuy’ was quoted as saying, “I’m gonna be real. You got this sh*t handed to you. You’ve got Dana White privilege.” That is another classic Tony Ferguson moment to savour. [H/T FirstSportz]
Dana White burst into laughter after hearing this, even as Chandler went, “Oh Tony!”, and thanked Dana funnily.
Chandler is coming off a victory over Dan Hooker at UFC 257. He saw off the Kiwi in double-quick time, which propelled him into the top 5 of the lightweight rankings. Now, an eight-fight win streak riding Charles Oliveira awaits him. Fingers crossed for the explosive power of Chandler vs the grapple-heavy Oliveira.
Ferguson, on the other hand, might be at a crossroads if he loses to Beneil Dariush. He is already on a two-fight losing streak, which is the longest in his career. Never has Tony ever lost two fights in a row. To prevent it from worsening further, he will have to get past the hard-as-nails Iranian.
