Tony Ferguson is going to take on Michael Chandler this weekend and is all set to comeback with a bang this time.

Ferguson, who once was on a 12-fight winning streak from the year 2013 to 2019 is struggling now to get a single victory from the past 3 years. His last three losses have come against Justin Gaethje, Charles Oliveira, and Beneil Daruish.

However, coming to this fight against Michael Chandler, Ferguson has to keep those losses behind his back and keep the winning mentality. Fortunately that’s exactly what Tony is doing.

In a recent YouTube video of UFC 274 countdown, Tony revealed how he is going back to his wrestling roots and preparing for his fights. He revealed about calling his old wrestling coach back to train him again.

Tony confessed how he was always concerned about others learning the skills he has which has refrained him from performing to his maximum potential. However, for the upcoming fight, Ferguson has chosen his private gym to be his training ground and is confident to put the best version of him inside the octagon this Saturday.

“I wasn’t able to perform to my best abilities during my training camps. I was more afraid of anybody learning my trade and learning what I’ve got because I like that little bit of mystery.” said Tony.

Ferguson has been one of the baddest fighters in the 155 pound division. Moreover, his domination inside the octagon for years is the reason behind the support he gets. But, it is no secret he is no longer in his prime and is on the backend of his fighting days. So, this might be his last opportunity to secure a win for the title run he has always dreamt of.

Ferguson, even after being on a 12 fight win streak, has never been the UFC lightweight Champion. So, let’s see if he wins in this do or die fight against Chandler.
