The main card of UFC 272 is kicking off with a spectacular heavyweight bout between Sergey Spivak vs Greg Hardy.

UFC 272 takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event is headlined by a spectacular welterweight fight between Colby Covington vs Jorge Masvidal. In the first fight of the main card, two illustrious fighters take on each other in a heavyweight bout.

Both the fighters are coming off to the fight from losses. Especially Greg Hardy is coming off two knock-out losses to this fight. One came against Tai Tuivasa and the other against Marcin Tybura. Interestingly, Sergey Spivak on the other hand has beaten Tai Tuivasa so this certainly isn’t an easy fight for Hardy. Lets’s see who gets his hand raised in the first main card fight of the night.

Round 1: Hardy starts off with a strong leg kick. Both the fighters are just warming up by fighting on the range. As expected, Sergey has taken down Greg in the second minute of the fight and is trying to stay on his back. Greg tries to get up and in fact he finally does but only to be taken down by Sergey again. Sergey slams him down the side control and it’s time he isn’t looking for a better position rather is looking for a finish. Spivak throws heavy powerful shots with a controlling mount position over Hardy. Greg didn’t defend him and the referee threw the towel at 2:16 of the first round of the fight.
