The light-heavyweight contest between Ion Cutelaba (15-6 MMA, 4-5 UFC) and Dustin Jacoby (14-5 MMA, 2-2 UFC) at UFC Vegas 25 ended up in a split decision draw after three rounds.

Round 1: The round started with both fighters coming to the center of the octagon Ion came forward with a bunch of punches and secured a quick takedown, he immediately took his back and keeps on landing back-to-back takedowns along with quick short elbows, great round for Cutelaba.

Round 2: Cutelaba landed a big takedown right at the beginning of the round, Jacoby got right back up and stiffed another takedown attempt. Jacoby starts pushing the pace and both of them swings for the fences, Cutelaba starts landing some counter punches but Jacoby lands some combos of his own. Close round.

After an absolute war between these two, the fight ended in a split decision draw

Round 3: Jacoby started with a nice leg kick and pushes the pace, both of them are swinging without any connection. Jacoby moves forward and Cutelaba is looking to counter him, but both of them are just swinging with very little connection. Just as the round was ending Jacoby goes for a clinch and secures a takedown, a very close round as well.

Result: Ion Cutelaba vs. Dustin Jacoby declared a split draw (29-28, 28-29, 28-28)
