UFC Vegas 27: Norma Dumont def Felicia Spencer via Split Decision

In the women’s featherweight contest of UFC Vegas 27, former title challenger Felicia Spencer (8-2) entered the Octagon to face Norma Dumont (5-1). Dumont is coming in this fight with her latest win against Ashlee Evans-Smith on UFC Fight Night: Smith vs Clark.
Spencer is coming in this fight with a loss against the UFC women’s Featherweight champion, Amanda Nunes at UFC 250. She went toe-to-toe against Nunes for five rounds but in the end, lost the fight by unanimous decision of the judges.
Round 1: Spencer switched stance early as she tried to found her range. She fainted a few leg kicks and Dumont fired back with a jab but missed. Spencer stayed outside and tried to land some shots on the body of Dumont. They traded solid left hands, Spencer tried to move inside but caught with a right hand. Dumont landed a kick to the body. Spencer landed a kick to the body as the horn sounds.
Round 2: Dumont stayed low on her feet, Spencer landed a sidekick to the body. Punches traded between both and Dumont landed a clean left hand. As she walked forward, she eats a one-two punch counter. Dumont landed a big punch to the body and Spencer dived to catch her against the fence when one minute remained. Spencer fired again with some heavy shots just as the round ends.

Round 3: Spencer landed a quick low kick and Dumont tried to land a left hand but missed. Dumont changed levels and shoots for a takedown. Spencer able to snag half-guard and Dumont counters her. Spencer tried to control her on the ground but Dumont makes her way up. Elbows traded between both as they got locked in the clinch. Dumont ended the round by staying tight.
