UFC Vegas 30 main event featured a heavyweight clash atop the HW division. Number 3 ranked Ciryl Gane took on Number 5 ranked Alexander Volkov. Volkov began the round as the aggressor. Gane connected with a jab. Uppercut from Volkov landed. Volkov began connecting with a few shots of his. Takedown attempt from Gane. Both the fighters landed some significant strikes. Gane landed some clean elbows while Volkov connected with some jabs. Knees to the body from Gane followed. Gane was simply too fast for Volkov.
