The co-main event of UFC Vegas 33’s fight card features the women’s strawweight fight between Cheyanne Buys and Gloria De Paula. This was the third co-main event after two fights getting canceled on the same card.

Buys stepped into this fight with a loss against Montserrat Ruiz on UFC on ESPN: Brunson vs Holland, while De Paula stepped into this fight with a loss against Jinh Yu Frey on UFC Fight Night: Edwards vs Muhammad.

Round 1: Buys moved forward with a quick shot to start the fight, both women engaged with each other and changed some wild shots. They got in the clinch and Buys gets up back fast, as soon as De Paula tried to get back up, she landed a kick right to her face.

The rising UFC women’s strawweight fighter, Cheyanne Buys secured the first win of her UFC career with a win against Gloria De Paula at UFC Vegas 33. With this win she improved her record to 5-1 in her last six fights and in the post-fight press conference she says, she wanted to fight again asap.
