The Flyweight contest of UFC Vegas 34 features the fight between number three ranked Flyweight fighter, Alexandre Pantoja facing the number sixth-ranked Flyweight fighter, Brandon Royval. This is a really exciting fight between two of the top-ranked contenders in the Flyweight division, which will serve as a perfect opener for the main card.

Pantoja will be stepping into this fight with a win against Manel Kape in his last fight on UFC Fight Night: Overeem vs Volkov while Royval with a loss against Brandon Moreno on UFC 255. A win in this fight will guarantee both of these contenders to move an inch closer to the title shot.

Round 1: Pantoja started the fight by keeping the guard high, Royval look to open the striking. Pantoja immediately shoot for an inside leg and secured a takedown. Royval doing the crazy scramble that he does in every fight and he spins. Pantoja looks for a choke but Royval turned it into a heel hook. Pantoja frees himself from the heel hook and they get back to standing.

Royval lands a shot to the body, followed by a high kick. Pantoja lands a right hand to the face and Royval is hurt. Another right-hand land for Pantoja and they finish the round of feet.

Round 2: Royval started the round by swinging at a heavy pace, Pantoja again shoots for a double leg takedown. Royval scrambles and frees himself. He landed some wild strikes and dragged Royval again to the ground. Pantoja looks for a choke and squeezes in, that’s it here comes the tap, and Alexandre Pantoja secures a win at UFC Vegas 34.
