UFC Vegas 35 Prelims Results
The main event of UFC Vegas 35 marks the fight between the UFC veteran and number 9th ranked Featherweight fighter, Edson Barboza facing the number 10th ranked and undefeated UFC Featherweight, Giga Chikadze. Along with this, the fight card holds many interesting fights in the prelims as well.

UFC Vegas 35 Prelims: Abdul Razak Alhassan vs Alessio Di Chirico
Round 1: Di Chirico tries to land a high kick that is blocked, Alhassan caught the kick but can’t hold on to it. Alhasaan landed a high kick of his own right on the chin and Di Chirico landed straight to the canvas. That’s it the fight ended in just 17 seconds.

UFC Vegas 35 Prelims: Sam Alvey vs Wellington Turman
Round 1: Turman started the fight with a front kick, followed by a left hand and he wraps the body. Alvey defended the takedown and landed an overhook, Turman chops the leg and Alvey landed the punches from the top. Turman swung a big right hand but misses, punches exchanged and Alvey complains of an eye poke. The action continued after a moment and Alvey landed a right hand. Turman landed some inside punches and Alvey scored a left hook just as the round ends.
Round 2: Turman landed a big right hand followed by a spinning kick. He pressed forward and caught Alvey against the cage. Alvey battles to get himself free and Turman landed some hard knees to the body. Alvey landed a straight punch and Turman replies to him with a high kick. They traded some heavy shots as the round ends.
Round 3: Alvey swung and missed a big right hand at the start, they traded some close shots and Turman attacked Alvey’s leg. He lands a right hand and Alvey also scores a right hand. Turman pressed forward and Alvey complained of one more eye poke. Turman got a point deducted and he comes out swinging when the action continued. He lands a big right hand and his left hand also scored. They traded punches till the very end.

UFC Vegas 35 Prelims: Dustin Jacoby vs Darren Stewart
Round 1: Stewart landed a jab to start the striking and dives for a double leg takedown. Jacoby stayed heavy on his feet and defended it very nicely, Stewart tried hard and finally dragged him to the canvas. They get back up again and Stewart landed a jab. He tried to wrap the body again but Jacoby landed a right hand that hurt him badly and he tried to cover up.
Jacoby started landing the follow-up shots and he landed some really hard ones. Stewart refused to go down but the referee has seen enough and calls the fight.

UFC Vegas 35 Prelims: JJ Aldrich vs Vanessa Demopoulos
Round 1: Aldrich rushed forward and landed a punch followed by a jab, Demopoulos landed a low kick, Aldrich changed levels and dragged her to the canvas. Demopoulos landed a few elbows from the back while Aldrich postures up and punched her hard. Demopoulos tried to catch her arm but Aldrich landed a series of hammer fists. They finally break free and Aldrich landed a kick to the body as the round ends.
Round 2: Demopoulos started the round aggressively and Aldrich landed a straight right hand as she moved forward. Jab landed for Demopoulos, Aldrich got caught by her against the fence but she defended the takedown. Demopoulos swung back and continued to come forward, Aldrich landed one more right hand and they traded shots until the horn sounds.
Round 3: Demopoulos caught Aldrich against the fence as the round starts and tried to secure a takedown, Aldrich defended it nicely once again and pushed her away. Demopoulos again tried to dive for a double leg but Aldrich got settled in the top position. She landed elbows and punches from the top and Demopoulos scrambled. They get back up and Aldrich landed a crisp jab and low kicks. They finished the fight on their feet.

UFC Vegas 35 Prelims: Jamall Emmers vs Pat Sabatini
Round 1: Emmers started the striking with a low kick, Sabatini kept his guard high and catches a kick by Emmers. Emmers started firing shots in the pocket and he landed a clean strike. That strike hurt Sabatini bad and he landed on the canvas, Emmers pressed him down. Sabatini caught his leg and Emmers tries to defend it but Sabatini keeps working and he grabbed the knee as well. Heel hook locks in tight and here comes the tap.

UFC Vegas 35 Prelims: Guido Cannetti vs Mana Martinez
Round 1: Cannetti started the fight with a high kick that is blocked by Martinez and he attacks the legs with low kicks. Kicks traded between both and Martinez took some early damage to the legs. Cannetti lands a straight right hand, Martinez replied to him with a fury of punches. He wraps his body and dragged the action to the canvas. Martinez landed some strikes from the top before they get up and Cannetti lands a big kick to the body just as the round ends.
Round 2: Cannetti started the round by attacking the leg again, Martinez lands a straight right hand in return. Cannetti lands a stiff left hand and he didn’t let Martinez get away from him. They both traded right hands, Martinez landed a kick to the body and Cannetti continued to chop the legs.
Round 3: Martinez pushed forward and landed some nice punches as Cannetti continued to attack the legs. Cannetti attempts a high kick that was blocked by Martinez, straight punches traded. Martinez landed some heavy strikes to the body and Cannettii landed a jab. They traded until the final horn sounds.
Result: Mana Martinez def Guido Cannetti via Split Decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28)
